The Worthiness of the Risen Lamb To Our Sacrificial Living

It’s a privilege to suffer with the Lord together with the saints through faith, wisdom, power and diligence in proclaiming the gospel of Christ out of love to the lost souls. (For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God. 1 Thessalonians 2:9)

Sometimes, it makes me think if, “how does famous churches, I mean the “BIG ONES” established such clamorous and prosperous church? Are they truly preaching the true gospel of Christ? And whenever I enter such “BIG” and “CLAMOROUS” churches, all I could hear from the preacher is all about “How to make life prosperous by believing Christ”, its like “confess that you believe in Christ, and everything will be okay, He will take good care of your finances, and of your happiness according to your will and not of God, as long as you confess by mouth and not by heart that you believe in Christ, then that’s it, that’s fine, you are now saved”.

If this is the only criteria for following Christ on the Calvary, by just confessing a dead and fake kind of a “faith”, then I can say, these people do not have a glimpse of the “Risen Lamb of God”, that they are the kind of worshippers that the Lord do not seek, the “hell bound” worshippers.

Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. Matthew 15:7-8

But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. John 4:23

On the contrary,  the Bible taught me the opposite doctrine of “PROSPERITY GOSPEL”, which is “THE GOSPEL OF PARTAKING IN THE SUFFERING OF CHRIST”,  for following the Lord requires “self denial” and offering of one’s body as a living sacrifice to the one true living God. An offering not only of our heart, but all of us as a whole (our heart, eyes, ears, nose, hands, legs and etc.) “ALL OF US”, for God is a jealous God, He hates having idols in our heart while serving Him. Hence, He demand our “ALL”, our “LIFE”, for apart from Christ, there is no life, apart from Christ, there is no truth, and His truth in the Bible is the only truth that can set the captives free from the bondage of sin.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.  Ye cannot serve God and mammon. Matthew 6:24

“A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. James 1:8”

“And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. Mark 12:30

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. Romans 12: 1

Given these truths, we are commanded to minister the people of God according to the gift(s) and talent(s) that He has given unto us for His glorification alone.

Remember the Parable of the talents in Matthew 25:14-30, wherein the Master took the talent of the lazy servant away as he hid thy talent in the earth (Matthew 25:25) . Therefore he was cast unto darkness where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth for not using his talent for the master’s glorification.

On the other hand, to the faithful servants who used their talents accordingly? The master gave them abundance and inheritance for being a faithful servant. We are commanded by God to be in His service so that we can glorify Him together by using our gift to strengthen one another, for comfort, exhortation and edification of the church.

“But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort. 1 Corinthians  14: 3”

But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren. Luke 22:32

“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as a good stewards of the manifold grace of God.  1 Peter 4:10”

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God . 1 Corinthians 10: 31”

Now if you’re asking me, is God too selfish for us to serve Him for His glorification alone? Is God a selfish God? Is it all about Him and for His glorification? Where is my glory then in my works?

The answer is “NO”, God is not a selfish God, but rather He is “LOVE”. We deserve His wrath and eternal condemnation in hell, but because of God’s mercy to us, in order for men to become His subject of love, in order to kill His wrath to the sinners, in order for us to become His sons and daughters, He sent His only Begotten Son in which all things are made for His glorification. He bruised Him for us to be His co- heir, for us to be glorified someday when we see the risen Lamb of God in his glorious appearing, the “LORD JESUS CHRIST”.

“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5”

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. John 3:16”

“He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love. 1 John 4:8”

So knowing these truths, don’t you think God is “WORTHY” of our all? He is simply “WORTHY” of our praises and worship. The Lord doesn’t need our ministry, for He is God, He can do whatever that pleases Him except for lying, for His truth in the Bible is the only truth in this world.

God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it?or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? Numbers 23:19

He can exist even if without us, but because of God’s mercy to us, He washed us by the blood of Christ to enable us to worship Him according to His will, we can come to His throne of grace now to ask for His mercy, to appeal for our helpless condition in the name of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased. Psalm 115:3

Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:26-27

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 1 John 2:1

Therefore, knowing Christ means partaking in His sufferings , by obeying the words in the Bible, by giving our life away for His glory for us to be glorified someday, and for the service unto men in which Christ died for.

For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. Hebrews 2:10

Now if you have the chance to show how much you love the Lord by partaking in His suffering, do it now, do it out of love and not out of pride, do it because we are commanded to do so to glorify the Lord, do it for free of charge just like the Apostle Paul did if possible, do it to become a light and salt of the world, do it passionately in the name of Christ, for He is “WORTHY”, worthy is the lamb.

Thank you for the cross, Lord
Thank you for the price You paid
Bearing all my sin and shame
In love You came
And gave amazing grace

Thank you for this love, Lord
Thank you for the nail pierced hands
Washed me in Your cleansing flow
Now all I know
Your forgiveness and embrace

Worthy is the Lamb- Hillsong

Live a life that is full of service unto God, a life that is based on the Biblical doctrine, for He is Worthy, GOD IS FAITHFUL.

Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: for in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. 1 Timothy 4:16
