Knowing Our Faith In Christ Through Suffering

I count it joy to feel the presence of my God in times of betrayal from the sons of men, for in my Savior who is Christ, I found my existence, I found the true meaning of life in His truths, and I learned to trust in His promises as I hold on to the faith, a promise of eternal life and endless joy that will be revealed in His glorious appearing. Indeed Christ is our life, and apart from Him, there is no life.

When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory. Colossians 3:4

Sometimes, God will give us a life that we never dreamed of, a life that we never asked for, for sinners as we are, we tend to live a life that is based on our terms, and not based on the truths that is written in the Bible. We tend to define that “carrying our cross” as we follow the Lord Jesus Christ is as simple as reciting an A,B,C. And what’s worst? People who do not know the truths in the Bible do believed that salvation is all about their ministry, and living Christianity is all about living based on obtaining “PROSPERITY”, that if God will give us the right thing that we demand from Him, then we will follow Him.

Now  what if God will reveal Himself through your suffering? Through affliction? What if God will allow all kinds of sufferings in your life, to the point that you can say to yourself, “Lord how long?”  Will you still hold to your faith like Job? Will you accept God’s calling knowing that you have to forsake everything like Moses who refused to be called as the son of pharaoh’s daughter just to lead the Israelite out from the bondage of slavery in Egypt by the commandment of God?  Will you still obey the Father’s will like the Lord Jesus Christ, who obeyed death on the cross? Can you still say to yourself despite of the tragedies in life, “thy will be done O God”.

“”Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me. Nevertheless not my will but yours be done.”Luke 22:42”

Sometimes, God do reveal His mercy and grace through our suffering, through trials, through life circumstances that we don’t understand why it exist, through horrible tragedies, through financial problems, and through sickness. But the Bible give us the assurance that the Lord will never abandoned those who truly hold on to the faith, those who hold on to His words and promises in the Bible, that one day, we will all be glorified in the name of His Son Lord Jesus Christ, as long as we count it all joy to partake to His suffering.

Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. 2 Corinthians 4:17

Let us be patient with all the tribulations of life, knowing that the testing of faith produces patience(James 1:3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience) and endurance as we walk with the Lord . Let us walk as a children of light, abstaining from all sin, for walking with the Lord requires discipline, it requires obedience to His words in the Bible, it requires knowing God, for we cannot be in Christ if we are still a slave from our unrighteous act of sin that does not glorify the Lord at all, for He is a Holy and righteous God. We cannot be in Christ, if we don’t know Christ at all.

For when you were the servants of sin, you were free from righteousness. Romans 6:20

 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:22-23”

Christianity is not just about “prosperity”, but rather, it is all about partaking to the suffering Christ by having a life that is based on the doctrine of the Bible, it’s all about showing to the world that you see God as God, a sovereign and all knowing God who can make all things beautiful to those who abide in His words, Christianity is all about knowing the true one God in the Bible and to have a continous relationship with Him through prayers and reading His truths.

 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. John 15:7.

God is a faithful God who will fight for His people because of His unconditional love for all of us, a love that we don’t deserve. Hence, let us allow the Lord to fight our battle, for without His grace, all is in vain, without His mercy, we can do nothing, for the Lord Himself is our life and hope.

“Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the commandment of God our Saviour, and Lord Jesus Christ, which is our hope; Timothy 1:1”

The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace. Exodus 14:14.

Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life. John 8:12

Let me end this blog by saying this, “expect that there is suffering in living a Christian life, for in our suffering our faith is tested, and God will be exalted and glorified by showing to us His mercy and grace. He will allow all kinds of suffering for us to hold on to Him, who is the source of all life, the hope of all things, and the only way to eternal life. No matter how rocky the road is, still everything happens for the wellness of our soul”.

Know the truth in the Bible, for Christ is all that we have, He is our “SALVATION”,“LIFE” and our “PEACE”.

The strength of God’s word is enough to sustain us to eternity, hence let us march wearing the full armor of God, till we see Christ someday, but for now, let us march, battling sin and sorrow as we are just pilgrims of this sinful world, and someday, we will see God to enjoy Him for eternity.
